Depurations
Process-based installation situated in an open and in a closed space, establishing a dialectical relationship between the ephemera
l and what remains.."Depurations"is a work which is a process and an object at the same time.
Process stages:
1 - Discarded coconuts were recollected in the streets of Caracas.
2 - Coconuts were put over two raw canvasses outdoors.
3 - Climate conditions acted over coconuts until they completely dried and left several stains over the canvasses.
4 - The material was recollected and moved to a closed space for the second phase of the installation.
5 - Interaction between space, material and the participants was considered to determine the final layout.
6 - The whole process was photographically recorded and the images are substantial part of the work.
