The case against reality

2023

Work exhibited at Salon ACME 10, Mexico City. Utilizing Artificial Intelligence to generate imagery that appears historically rooted — old blueprints, diagrams, and networks that seem to belong to another time. These images are the result of prompts describing conversations between mycelium and neural networks about what natural and artificial concepts mean. The work is fascinated by the idea of generating something that looks from a past era using cutting-edge technology, questioning the boundaries between historical artifact and computational fabrication.

The case against reality, aged paper diagram with two teal circles linked by tan branching fibers resembling nerves, handwritten notes around edges
The case against reality, blueprint-style branching network with spherical nodes and golden lines on dark teal, beige border with scale marks
The case against reality, vertical cyanotype-like chart with two blue circles connected by white root-like lines and surrounding annotation text
