Fly, fly Balladares

A video work exploring everyday life as a symbolic situation. The piece weaves together corrupted audio recordings from Chuao (a coastal Venezuelan cacao village) with fragments of Balladares' subway speeches — street oratory that transforms the mundane into the mythological. Through digital distortion and layered sound, the work examines how cultural memory persists, mutates, and finds new forms of transmission in displacement.
